Osteopathy
Experienced Osteo NEAR Chadstone
A hands-on approach to healthcare that incorporates a variety of techniques including Soft Tissue Massage, Stretching, Manipulation and Mobilisation of the Joints.
Osteopathy is a form of manual healthcare that recognises the important link between the structure of the body and its ability to function at its maximum ability. After five years of University training and compulsory continued education every year, our Osteopaths are able to use skilled evaluation and diagnostic training to discuss with you a reason and educate you about the cause of your pain, and create a unique, specific and tailor made treatment plan for you.
Dry Needling
Dry Needling Malvern East
An adjunct to Osteopathy and Remedial Massage, dry needling will release those stubborn knots in tight muscles to give you a relief from pain and tension in your body. Dry needling uses acupuncture-type needles to release myofascial trigger points with the focus on releasing muscular tension and pain, therefore improving joint mobility.
The similarity between these two treatment styles stops at the needles utilised. Acupuncture, as a generalisation, tends to be a more superficial style of treatment with the intention of treating energy (“Qi”) imbalances in the body. It is believed that these Qi blockages can be restored by correctly placing needles along energy channels called meridians. On the other hand, Dry needling treatment treats the neuromuscular system affecting muscle tightness, joint mobility and symptoms of pain and irritability.
Myotherapy
Myotherapy Malvern East
Myotherapy is similar to remedial massage therapy, however with further training and credentials needed to become a Myotherapist you know you are in the best hands possible. From a full body massage to injury specific treatment, we have you covered!
